Favorite Pi Crust
If you have a Raspberry Pi, you know it's the the prettiest thing to have sitting on the corner of the desk or the next to the TV in your living room. Let's face it as cool as it is sometimes you don't want so look at your decorated living room and see a piece of naked hardware with a bunch of cords protruding in the fashion of an operating room. Cover it up!
As cool as that is, it's just not pretty. So here are some of my favorite cases to improve the visual appeal of the Pi.
1. The Nintendo case ($20) should make you grin. This will quickly turn questions from 'What's that piece of junk by your TV?" to "Ohh cool I had a Nintendo growing up, what's that?" This is simple clean look that no true geek would be ashamed to display.
2. The Super Nintendo case ($27) is cool for all the same reasons as the Nintendo case. This is similar, but has a fan and would be just a fabulous to have around.
3. This sleek black case ($7) has just enough style to still win nerd cred, but inconspicuous to the untrained eye. This could pass for just another video device on your entertainment center without being an eye soar.
4. If there is black, there must be a white case ($8). In case you appreciate the more clean look provided by white, here is the same case in white, both look great up close and far away.
5. A wood case ($15)! If you are like me and can appreciate a little vintage in your life, this is where it's at. The beautiful wood feels a little more at home.
6. A fun favorite would be the Lego case ($14). Only get this case if you are going to put a little scene of Legos on the case. (Warning: Kids will pull this off the entertainment center if it's in reach).
7. A little touch screen case ($28). This would be really useful to have around when working without a keyboard. Many projects you don't need a keyboard after it is setup.
8. A color case ($14). This case looks professional and comes with the benefit of having color. Sometimes you don't want black or white.
9. The case for no case ($6). Maybe you don't think it's ugly to have a piece of circuit board on your desk or by your TV. There is beauty in complexity and this could be just what you're looking for.
10. Other ($?). There are countless project cases out there and your imagination is your limit.
After all this is a Pi and you should have fun. Let inner nerd grin and show the world what you can do!
